Palmetto Region will postponing the requirement to have certified members.  We will provide a new deadline once USAV gets all clinics up and running. We encourage all teams to place their experienced players in key working positions at events.

We encourage teams to come to facility Friday night from 6pm-8pm to pick up tickets for rostered adults.  

Gate tickets will also be available for spectators at same times. 

Required form by everyone attending Rock Hill

This printed and signed waiver will be required to enter Rock Hill Sports Center.  Print, complete and bring to tournament. Remit to the gate staff upon initial entry.  Teams will need to turn in for entire team upon arrival.  

This form is required for all players, coaches, officials, spectators, and anyone else who will be in the sports center during the tournament. 

This form will be needed for all future events at Rock Hill.

COVID RULES: REQUIRED READ. Click here

For Rock Hill Facility- Off team and work team (except ref team) and team spectators  are required to leave the court area immediately after the match.  You can go (1) outside (2) to the championship Court 1 area and social distance or (3) the large break room near food area. 

If you team plays in the PM wave, you can not enter the building until 2:30, with a PM Start of 3:30.   AM wave, as soon as your team is finished, you are required to leave the building.  This is to stay within maximum capacity limits. 

The Southern Classic Club Division will be held January 16-17, 2021 and will have Club divisions in all ages 12-18. Play on Saturday will be in AM or PM waves, with playoff brackets on Sunday. Registration will be available on Advanced Event Systems beginning November 1st. With 17 courts at the beautiful, NEW Rock Hill Sports & Event Center, we will be able to accommodate 136 teams. All play will be on site at the sports center and first referees will be provided.

This event is not a stay to play, but we encourage all teams to please utilize the numerous hotels options.  We work closely with Rock Hill Visitors Center, who provides us with the hotels that volleyball families should consider (Quality hotels).  Due to the volume of business we are bringing to Rock Hill, rates should be lower than found anywhere.  

If your team goes outside our block, we only ask you provide us a hotel form, so we can provide to City of Rock Hill, which shows the city our events bring economic impact dollars to the city.  This helps us acquire the facility over other sports who seek the facility. 

Registration

Registration will be available through AES on November 1. Entry fee is $400. Please note that age groups may be combined based on number of team entries.

Schedule

Play on Saturday will be divided into AM and PM waves. The AM wave will begin at 8AM and PM wave will begin about 3:30PM. All teams will advance to playoffs on Sunday.

AM Wave – 8am start time (teams must leave facility immediately after finish due to Covid Rules)

PM Wave – 3:30pm start time (Arrive no earlier than 2:45 into facility due to Covid Rules) 

Schedule will be posted on AES approximately 1 week before the tournament

Formats/Rules

  • All matches start at zero, matches during pool play will have a 2-point cap. Playoff brackets on Sunday will start at zero and do not have a cap.
  • Professional R1 will be provided for each match.

Admission/Tickets

Ticket costs are as follows.

Adult 2-day pass: $15
Adult daily ticket: $10

Child (ages 5-18) 2-day pass: $10
Child daily ticket: $7

Children 4 and under are free

Team Check-In

We will not have a team check in, this will be online.  More to come later. 

Food & Seating

Food, tables, and coolers are NOT allowed in the facility. Food tables are NOT allowed to be set up anywhere inside the sports center. Players may bring in water bottles in their backpacks.

Portable sport chairs are not allowed. Seating will be provided around each court. If your team is not playing, please allow spectators for teams that are playing to sit. Please note that tournament directors may ask spectators in portable chairs to move if they determine that the teams’ playing abilities are hindered.

Athletic Trainers/First Aid

There will be an athletic trainer on-site throughout the tournament to provide pre-game taping and injury care for players. Ice will be available for post-game care and injuries.

Facility Parking:

Parking will be available for $5 per day.  This will be available for purchase in advance.  See document above for details.
